A college fair is an event at which hundreds of higher education schools willingly come to talk to students about their futures and to hopefully answer all the students’ questions. The benefits of it are limitless, too. From learning what you want and do not want in a school, to learning how far away you want to be from home, a college fair can help you answer those questions. Many people underestimate how beneficial a college fair is and can be for your future. I recently went to my school’s very own college fair, and I learned so much. From asking questions to hearing about daily life in college, it really narrowed down my choices for me. It is a known fact that the college search is beyond stressful, but attending a college fair takes all the weight of your shoulders because you can talk face-to-face with college representatives! It is an amazing opportunity to get your foot in the door and to discover some awesome things about the school you are planning to attend. Not only can you talk to college representatives, but there are multiple financial aid meetings that are held throughout the night to answer even the toughest of questions you might have. I loved talking to a variety of schools and learning what is important to me in a college. To me, the community plays a key role in college life. It is a make-or-break factor that allows me to decide what is important in the place I would be living! I loved the college fair that LWC hosted, and I highly encourage you to find one near you or one that is held at your own school. They are beyond helpful and a great resource to hundreds of students.
