The Knights had an overall incredible football season this year, the best in many years! The Knights made it to the semifinals, with a chance to go to State, for the first time since 2002.  Although these talented players lost in the semifinals, they battled and gave their best efforts until the very end. It was an extremely intense game that had all the fans and players on their toes. Junior Soleil Pedric attended this game and said, “I have never been more invested and excited during a football game in my whole life! I am so proud of our football team and cannot wait to see what they can accomplish next year.” The boys gave everything they had, and all staff and LWC supporters are beyond proud. The cheerleaders and dancers performed amazingly as well, creating a fun atmosphere for students and parents. Another junior, Abby McCarthy, also attended the game. She explained that “This game was such a fun time and awesome for hanging out with fellow classmates and friends! We were all so excited for our team! It was a blast to cheer them on with all my best friends.” Overall, making it this far during playoffs was a huge accomplishment for the LWC football team. We cannot wait to see what you boys can do next year! GO KNIGHTS!
