The amazing students at Lincoln-Way Central put together the spring play, “Little Women” for 2024. The play took place February 9th and February 10th in the Fine Arts Center. While this may seem like any other play, there are many unique factors that make it different than all the rest.
The students have been working for months on perfecting their performance-in-the-round. This means the acting area was completely surrounded by the audience. They rehearsed 4-5 times a week after school for 3-6 hours at a time. Within these rehearsals they ran through different parts of the play multiple times and worked together to make it the best one yet! The group added many different acts in this play that make it special to LWC! For instance, there were groups of singers that sing carols to add a musical element to the performance. Also, the audience sat on the stage to bring them closer to the talented actors and actresses preforming.
This hard work and dedication sure did pay off! The play was a huge success. The actors and actresses performed beautifully and delivered their best performances to the audiences Friday and Saturday. The play was described as, “an amazing show. It was really fun to go and see people I know be able to preform like that on stage,” by a member of the audience. Overall, the play was a huge success and the production team should be very proud of their work.
