Houses buried under endless amounts of snow
Empty walls surrounded by happiness and mistletoe
For each creak and shriek of each moldy floorboard
There is a spinning and wrapping of festive trees
While there plays an uplifting, wonderful musical chord
Presents are wrapped and placed underneath the tree with ease
On the coldest of nights, there is fire being lit
Cookies are baked and placed on a little tray
While the elders continue with their knit
Everyone smiles, not crying in dismay
The children leave cookies and milk for the mysterious man
With the clunk and thunk of the sleigh on the roof
There is a man coming in and eating from the cookie pan
The children rushed and the man was gone like poof!
While peering at each other after what they saw
The family watched the man fly away in awe
