The National Honor Society induction ceremony is a very cherished event at Lincoln-Way Central. It helps to honor those who have gone above and beyond to display not only their academic excellence, but their commitment to service in their community, leadership, and character. The students go through a selective process to be accepted into the society, and as a display of their hard work and dedication, they can walk across the stage and present their hard work to the administrative team and family. It is an honor for these students.
Dr. McNamara oversaw the ceremony with pride. Additionally, Mrs. Davy’s motivating speech she gave when receiving her Teacher of the Year award provided an optimistic point of view that was inspiring to the many diligent students who were being inducted. This speech helped to communicate the importance of these students at Lincoln-Way Central. Then, the students were called on one by one to honor their endeavors where they are met by a joyous Dr. McNamara who congratulates them at the end of the stage. They then take the National Honor Society oath and are officially inducted. After the induction, students celebrate by meeting back with their families and friends to take photos and congratulate each other on their amazing accomplishment.
Overall, the National Honor Society induction ceremony was very successful in honoring the hard work of these devoted students. It helped show the students that their dedication and effort does not go unnoticed and that they deserve the praise they received at the ceremony. The high standards that these students set themselves up to make them the epitome of a Knight and prove that they will do great things throughout their lives.
