Video Game News:

New Sonic the Hedgehog!

Sonic the Hedgehog is a prominent video game character, who made his first in-game debut in 1991 in the game “Sonic the Hedgehog”. This game shook the video game market, straying from the typical platformer formula, and even competing with Mario. And SEGA is currently developing a brand-new game to start Sonic’s 2020s line of games.

To those uninformed, SEGA has a division of their company called Sonic Team, who are the people who make these games. Sonic Team has been developing this game since the last installment, Sonic Forces (2017). Sonic Forces was criticized by fans and critics for being short, along with poor level designs. The team concluded the game should be an open world, taking inspiration from an old installment, Sonic Adventure (1998). The game is focused on fighting, but it will not be mandatory – the team is stern on wanting to make sure players have freedom in their gameplay.

As for information leaked and given early, many things have come out so far. The release date is said to be November 8th, 2022. We’ve also been told the main idea for the plot. In summary, the plot is said to have Sonic explore the Starfall Islands to collect the Chaos Emeralds after Sonic, Miles “Tails” Prower, and Amy Rose separate when falling through a wormhole. The game will come out on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. It will be selling for $59.99 on most platforms.

Don’t forget to snatch up this game from store shelves, the Sonic community is excitedly waiting for this game to be released!
