Holiday Happiness

After all of the students and staff enjoyed a refreshing Thanksgiving break; there was still much to be done for the Holiday Family Project. What started as an idea many years ago is now a wonderful act of kindness that has helped 80 families every year.

Organized by Mrs. Knick, our school social-worker,  the Holiday Family Project helps families by collecting gifts for those who need some extra support during the holidays. These gifts range from the normal necessities of life to toys and stuffed animals.

Because of the pandemic, some things had to change working differently than the norm. Gift cards were graciously donated and sent out to the families using minimal contact. In our interview, Mrs. Knick said she loves every corner of the Holiday family Project, but her favorite part of the whole operation is giving the gifts to the families. lot of heart, time and thought goes into every aspect of this project to make many families Christmas’s very special.
